Julie Ashton's Anal Beginners Kit (part 1)

I should probably start by saying I'm not quite a beginner to anal play, but I am a bit out of practice, so it's almost like starting over.
The kit contains 3 different sizes of buttplug, one vibrator that's about the same width as the wide part of the largest plug, and a small bottle of Doc Johnson's lube.
The lube looks a lot like wallpaper paste, but it stays nicely on the toy, and the smallest plug slid home very easily.

The smallest plug is about the width of a finger, which means that it's not causing much of a stretch, which has to be a good thing for somebody's first time.
Unfortunately the review kit was missing the medium plug, but it appears to be about half again the width of the small one, making it the same size as another plug I've got, which has spent quite a while comfortably in place.
The large plug, at its widest, is noticably bigger, but still only about the size of a small to medium cock, so even this one is unlikely to scare anybody off.
The vibrator is about the same width, but doesn't have quite the same gentle taper, so you're going to be feeling it for most of its length (I think, check part 2 of the review later)

All the toys are firm, but with a nice amount of give, and have good length necks and decent size bases, which is important with anal play, as you don't want to be worrying about things accidentally going too far in. In fact, with the small plug, once it's in you'll probably feel the base between your cheeks more than you feel stretched by the plug.

One of the main problems I have with buttplugs is that as soon as I let go it feels like the plug is trying to make a break for freedom. I didn't get that problem this time, and the small plug was happy to stay where I'd put it while I was doing some chores (it's one way of making work in the kitchen more interesting). Whether this is down to the lube, or the length of the neck on the plug, I don't know; but whichever it is, I'm giving extra marks for not feeling like the plug is about to shoot across the room.
Standing at the sink, I could almost forget the plug was there, until I moved slightly, at which point it reminded me in a nice gentle fashion.

So far I'm liking this kit as an introduction (or re-introduction) to anal stimulation, but you'll have to wait a bit for the final verdict. If you'll excuse me now, I have to go try out the larger parts of the kit.
